Merge PDFs into one organized file
Combine invoices, reports, forms or scanned pages in one pass. Files are merged in the order shown, giving you a single document that is easier to send, archive or print.
Split and organize selected pages
Enter a page range such as 1-3, 6, 9-11 to extract only the pages you need. You can also remove unwanted pages while preserving the rest of the document.
Convert between images and PDF
Create a PDF from multiple JPG or PNG images, or export each page of a PDF as a JPG. Image exports are bundled into one ZIP download for convenience.
Finish documents with useful details
Rotate pages, add page numbers or apply a text watermark. These small finishing tools help prepare documents for sharing, review and filing.
How to extract text from a PDF
Text extraction is useful when you need to quote a document, reuse its wording, or search through it. The tool reads the text layer of each page in order and saves it as a .txt file you can open in any text editor. Scanned image-only PDFs have no text layer, so they return little or no text.
Will the extracted text keep its formatting?
No. The result is plain text: wording and page order are kept, but fonts, colours and layout are not. It is meant for reading, quoting and searching, not for recreating the original design.
Why is my scanned PDF empty?
Scanned pages are pictures of text, not real text. The tool can only read a PDF's text layer. A scanned document needs OCR software first, which this browser tool does not do.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The extraction runs locally in your browser using JavaScript. Your PDF is never uploaded, stored or seen by anyone else.
Can I extract text from only some pages?
Use the Split PDF tool first to make a PDF with just the pages you need, then extract text from that file.
